The benefits of CBD in psoriasis

Chronic inflammatory skin disease, also known as psoriasis, afflicts countless people.
Our clients include many people who have benefited from the CBD oils. How is it really with the effects of CBD on skin diseases?
CBD (cannabidiol) is one of many compounds, known as cannabinoids, found in the cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa). CBD oil has many potential health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and relaxing effects. There is some evidence to suggest that CBD may have some effects on psoriasis, but it should be stressed that this is still an area of research and there is not yet sufficient evidence to support firm conclusions.
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that presents with red scales, dryness, itching and irritation. The pathophysiology of psoriasis is complex and involves a variety of factors, including dysregulation of the immune system and increased skin cell production.
Some research suggests that CBD may have anti-inflammatory effects, which may be beneficial for psoriasis. CBD oil acts on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in the body, which helps maintain homeostasis and regulate various bodily functions, including the immune system and inflammatory processes.
On animals it already works, on humans we only know from word of mouth.
Animal studies suggest that CBD may inhibit excessive skin cell proliferation and alleviate inflammatory processes associated with psoriasis. CBD may also help relieve itching and discomfort associated with this skin disease.
However, it should be noted that most of the research on this topic has been conducted on animals or in vitro, and not on humans. Clinical studies are needed to better understand the effects of CBD on psoriasis in humans. In addition, the effectiveness of CBD may depend on a variety of factors such as dosage, method of application, and individual differences.
It is important to stress that you should consult your doctor before starting to use CBD to treat psoriasis. Your doctor can provide you with the most up-to-date information and recommend the most appropriate treatment options. As this is a form of treatment where the absorption of the oil plays an important role, we recommend CBD oil with MCT rather than CBD oil with MCT, although it has a less pronounced hemp taste. However, this is counterbalanced by the higher absorption and thus increasing the chances of an effect.
