Hemp cosmetics and Slovakia
In Slovakia, the sale of cannabis cosmetics has been allowed for several years even at trace THC content (up to 0.085%), compared to, for example, food. This has made it possible to make better use of the effects of all the components of cannabis in cosmetics, since when THC is washed and removed, other active ingredients such as CBD or CBG are also removed to some extent.
Our hemp cosmetics come from certified varieties of hemp grown in Slovakia. We further certify and register all our products on the portal of the Ministry of Economy together with the relevant authorities. That is why hemp cosmetics from Liptov Farm are so widespread in shops all over Slovakia.
What are the effects of hemp cosmetics?
Each product has its effects described in more detail, as it is always a combination of ingredients, where hemp predominates as the dominant element, but it is accompanied by other cosmetic ingredients such as shea butter or vitamins.
However, it can be said that hemp cosmetics have basic effects in hydration, protection and regeneration, especially when applied superficially to the skin or lips. However, we can safely say that hemp cosmetics also help in cleansing and beautifying the skin and this is mainly due to their natural origin, as we pay attention to the organic origin of the ingredients in our production.
History and cosmetics of hemp
A study of history tells us that the ancient Slavs and ancient China, in particular, were known for their use of cannabis, from seeds to stems and leaves to flowers. Although the first products would hardly be labelled as hemp cosmetics today, we can speak of a tradition of more than a thousand years of use of hemp products. The leaves were brewed as hemp tea, the stems were used to make clothes and ropes, and the flowers and seeds were ground and pressed and used for skin poultices, animal feed additives or as a skin protector for various injuries. Hence, hemp cosmetics are nothing new in our country, rather we are just discovering the lost ones of our ancestors.
